Preview: The Take (2008)

Poster: C-

Review:

This poster reminds me of the slip covers to several direct-to-video movies I reviewed for Apollo Guide a few years back. Needlessly to say, that shouldn't inspire confidence in the film.

Trailer: C

Review:

While the trailer isn't nearly as uninteresting as the poster art, it isn't terribly exciting either. The trailer cobbles together the story of the movie and puts it onto the big screen spliced and diced to pieces so that you can get the entire plot of the film without watching it and what you've seen isn't really that enticing.

Oscar Prospects:

Normally, I like John Leguizamo, but this doesn't look like an Oscar-calibre performance, so he's still got a number of years before that becomes a possibility. Unless he keeps making Spawn-quality movies like this in between his better performances.

Release Date:

April 11, 2008

Synopsis Review:

I have not seen this film.
