Preview: Roman de Gare (2008)

Poster: C+

Review:

The criss-cross style of the title suggests multiple things. One, there are going to be plenty of twists in the film. Two, it is symbolically linked to the title in that Gare in French means train station. Otherwise, the poster is devoid of anything noteworthy or spectacular.

Trailer: B

Review:

The trailer literally tells us there are a significant number of twists. Other than the narrator sounding completely disconnected from the style of the film, the preview looks at least interesting and with the promise of lots of twists, it might actually be worth checking out.

Oscar Prospects:

This could be a strong contender for the Best Foreign Film Oscar, but a lot will depend on which film the French decide to submit.

Release Date:

April 25, 2008

Synopsis Review:

I have not seen this film.
