Review:

It's not a great poster, but it's not a bad one either. The colors are thankfully distant from the black-white-and-red of last year's themes, but the cool blue color doesn't do much to accentuate the film's plot. And while Burt Reynolds might have been a big box office draw in the 80s, his image won't carry too much weight.

Review:

The loosely-plotted films surrounding poker table confessions is a tiring plot line and while Bret Harrison did some good work on Fox's The Loop, he doesn't seem like the big screen draw other actors might have been. This does look like another quality Burt Reynolds performance, but when it compares unfavorably to films like Lucky You, I doubt it will have much success.

Oscar Prospects:

It is being released too early in the year to be much of a conteder, but if anyone can do it, it's Burt Reynolds. However, I don't know that the role will be meaty enough to be remembered come January 2009.

Release Date:

April 25, 2008

I have not seen this film.
