Preview: Boarding Gate (2008)

Poster: C

Review:

The poster is rather unexceptional. While choosing a tint of pink, the poster tries to make the film seem softer while putting a gun in full view of the viewer. It's also painfully obvious that the use of an image with the lead female in nothing but a bra, panties and high heels, they are playing into the gullible male demographic who's interested in watching movies with sex and violence.

Review:

This looks like your prototypical low budget, art actioner. It features a dirty filming technique to make it seem gritty, but features performances that look rather ham-like from the preview. I can't imagine a twist outcome for this film, which is rather disappointing.

Oscar Prospects:

I couldn't imagine a scenario in which this film, or even this type of film, would qualify for and run away with any Oscars.
