Review:

The poster is so much more engaging than the trailer. Unlike the rather expectable Smart People tile idea, this one seems a bit more original placing the title into the commonly experienced eye chart. The blind-affected sight of the individual in the background is a touch of added flavor.a

Review:

Perhaps my expectations after hearing about the film were set too high, but this looks entirely too much like Children of Men, going so far as even to include Julianne Moore. While I'm hoping that it approaches the quality of Alfonso Cuaron's film, I won't keep my hopes too high.

Oscar Prospects:

Like Children of Men, I'm not certain this film will be Oscar material. With their recent trend towards smaller fare, maybe, but Children of Men seemed perfect, but in the end, it was virtually ignored. Perhaps a few tech nominations and a Screenplay nod, but not likely anything else.
