Preview: Bratz (2007)

Poster: B-; C+

Review:

The top poster does a little more to highlight the distinct differences in personality of the characters but still does little else but give teenage girls heart palpitations over finally getting to see the toys come to life on the screen.; The second poster tells us nothing of the diversity of the characters and does everything to highlight the film as a marketing tie in ("Out of the Box" anyone?).
Trailer: C-

Review:

It's like every other teen sitcom film out there. We son't see another quality film like Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants but we will see plenty of "we're better because we accept our differences" double talk while ghettoizing the cliques they are trying to benefit.

Oscar Prospects:

The day the Academy recognizes a film based on a toy is the day George Lucas is crowned the best screenwriter in the history of motion pictures.

Release Date:

August 3, 2007

Synopsis Review:

I have not seen this film.
